Who is in the Prescott Team?
To ensure a professional and timely service we have two dedicated management team members who be your point of contact from start to finish. Ben (General Manager) and Andrew (Operations Manager) are on hand to answer questions or queries you have and ensure our DJ and entertainment services fit perfectly with your vision
Together Ben and Andrew lead the brilliant Prescott Team of DJs who are all based in Somerset and will make sure your DJ is fully briefed with all of your requests and requirements before the event. You are also welcome to request a specific DJ from the team for your party.
Prescott Entertainment is not an agency and our DJs are all local to Somerset and specifically handpicked to ensure they fit with the values we represent. Unlike some larger agencies Prescott Entertainment prides itself on delivering a service that incorporates all of the requests of the client. A Brief History:
Prescott Entertainment previously operated as BP Sounds which was setup in 2014 by Ben Prescott before a 2020 major rebrand and service expansion. Prescott Entertainment is now run by business partners Ben and Andrew who share decades of experience in the DJ, entertainment and wedding industries. Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We work closely with all of our customers to ensure our performance is exactly to their liking. Communication leading up to the event is also very important as we believe no two celebrations are the same.

What music do you play? Can we make requests?
We can play practically any and every genre of music from any era. When you book with Prescott Entertainment we will work closely with you to create a bespoke music playlist centred around your music tastes. We also aim to play every song that you request. We can supply first dance songs at weddings when requested by the bride and groom. Our set is entirely based around your requirements.
How do we book your services?
There are several ways you can book our services however the best way to contact us is by filling out the contact form on our website. Equally you can call us on 07856094561 or message us on our social media platforms. No matter which way you contact Prescott Entertainment we endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Who will be our DJ?
We have a small team of Somerset based Professional DJs. The team have all been handpicked to ensure they meet the high standards of Prescott Entertainment. You are welcome to speak to your DJ directly before the event to ensure you are happy with everything.
Do you offer additional services, such as lighting and photo booths?
We can supply a number of extra services including Live Saxophone, Wireless Uplighting, Magic Mirror, Dance Floors, Wedding Signs and Silent Disco Hire. How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?
As the client you can be involved in the music selected as much or as little as you like. Prescott Entertainment works closely with our clients to create a bespoke music playlist containing all the music they want and delivering a performance that represents you. As well as this we are open to more music requests during the event and do our best to play every song that is requested (as long as it fits the vibe). We can discuss any event details, no matter how small before the party.
How much do you charge?
The price for our services is worked out on an individual quote basis. If you would like a quote simply contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can. One of the team will ask you a couple of simple questions including, a rough location, date of event and timings. Once we have these details we will provide you with a free quote.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It’s up to you how early or late you book with Prescott Entertainment. We do however advise potential customers to book sooner, rather than later. This is because we have a limited number of dates available and they are booked on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Our busiest months of the year are April, June, July, August, September and December.
When do I have to pay?
We will require a deposit to secure the booking (See our T&C’s). The deposit will be made clear and will be discussed with you before the booking is agreed. We will require the final payment seven days before the event. For more information see our Terms and Conditions or Contact us.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes. We hold Public Liability Insurance of up to £10 Million and Professional Indemnity of up to £1 Million. A copy of our Public Liability Insurance can be provided on request. Most venues will not allow DJs or musicians to play unless they are Public Liability Insured.
Is your equipment electrical safety tested?
Yes. All of our electronics are PAT Tested on an annual basis by our friends at West Somerset PAT Testing. A copy of our PAT Test certificate is available on request. Many venues will not allow DJ’s or musicians to play unless their equipment is PAT Tested.
How long does it take you to set up/take down your equipment?
It can take up to one hour to set up our rigs and an additional hour to take them down. Please be aware however that these timings may alter depending on the location. We can discuss these timings before the event.
How much space do you need?
A minimum clear floor space for the DJ is required. 3 metres x 2 metres with a height of 3 metres. As a working area, a solid, stable base must be provided at all times. A minimum of 1 x 13 amp power socket must be available within 8 metres of the set up area. The performance area must be dry. For more information please view our Terms and Conditions.
